Clean, modern dental instruments ready for a checkup

Everyday treatments, done well

Bonding

A conservative, tooth-colored repair for chips, discoloration, or minor crookedness — usually finished in one visit.

Tooth-colored fillings

Composite resins mimic natural teeth, especially where appearance matters. Direct fillings take one visit; indirect fillings like inlays take two or more.

Bridges

Replace missing teeth, help maintain the shape of your face, and relieve stress on your bite — bonded to surrounding teeth for support.

Extractions

When a tooth truly must go, the procedure is typically quick — and we’ll discuss replacement options so neighboring teeth don’t shift.

Fluoride

A few-minute treatment that helps prevent cavities and keeps plaque from hardening on the tooth surface.

Sealants

Protective resins that smooth the deep grooves where toothbrushes struggle to reach — extra insurance against decay for kids and adults alike.

General dentistry questions, answered

What happens at a dental cleaning and prevention visit?

Your teeth are examined fully, usually with a complete set of X-rays that show what’s happening inside your gums and jawbone. The visit typically includes cleaning and polishing, a gum evaluation, an oral cancer screening, and a check of any existing dental work like fillings, crowns, bridges, or implants.

Why do cleanings matter if I brush every day?

Plaque that isn’t brushed away hardens into tartar, which you can’t remove at home and which eventually causes inflammation. Professional cleaning removes both, polishes away stains, and lets us spot problems while they’re still small — and inexpensive — to fix.

What is dental bonding?

A conservative repair for slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth: a tooth-colored filling material bonds to your tooth and blends with its natural shade. It’s less expensive than other cosmetic treatments and usually completed in a single visit — and if it ever chips, it can generally be patched in one visit too.

When does a tooth need to be extracted?

Sometimes decay puts neighboring teeth at risk, a baby tooth won’t come out on its own, or infection, orthodontic correction, or a wisdom tooth requires removal. The procedure itself is typically very quick, and if you have concerns or sedation preferences, we plan for them in advance.

Are sealants just for kids?

Sealants are most often applied to children’s permanent teeth as a preventive measure, but adults can receive them on healthy teeth too. They typically last three to five years — though it’s fairly common to see adults with sealants intact from childhood.

How often should I have a fluoride treatment?

Depending on your oral health and your doctor’s recommendation, fluoride treatments may be recommended every three, six, or twelve months. The treatment itself takes just a few minutes.
